2015 in Review

2015 was an incredible year for Kristen Dorsey Designs. We reached so many milestones and have adorned many inspirational clients in pieces inspired by Chickasaw history and culture. We could not have done all of this without your continued support and we can’t wait to continue this exciting journey with you into 2016.

Mic.com Interview

We were nominated as Style Finalists for the Martha Stewart American Made competition which recognizes and encourages small business owners – fellow Native entrepreneurs B.Yellowtail and Beyond Buckskin were nominated as well. Read our interview in Mic.com. A HUGE thank you to all of you who voted for us in this exciting competition!

Badass Women You Should Know

Blogger Kate Hart named Kristen a badass lady you should know.  We can’t even tell you how excited we are about this honor!

The LA Fashion

We had some amazing press in 2015 including this editorial in The LA Fashion Magazine.  It featured pieces from the Panther Woman Collection in the fall issue and also featured the labradorite shield earrings in the holiday gift guide!

Panther Woman Collection Released summer 2015

Chickasaw women are guardians of our families, communities, and culture. The Panther Woman collection celebrates the contributions made by our female leaders throughout the centuries and is named after a historic female battle strategist from the 1800s.  Each piece draws upon imagery from ancient adornment, and adorns the wearer like bejeweled armor and weaponry fit for today’s female warriors.  Never conquered, always fearless.

LA Showroom by appointment

In June we moved into a beautiful loft-style studio in downtown Los Angeles. We spent a weekend painting and decorating with calming shades of mint, navy and gray. We would love to arrange a time for you to visit the studio to shop the collections in person and see our workshop/showroom. As always every piece is handmade with love!
